In Corpus Christi, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Texas vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 amβ6 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Corpus Christi is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Corpus Christi is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I do not recommend Christian Brothers to anyone. They scammed my daughter onto paying more than she should have for minor repairs. She was better off taking a to the dealership. I got a quote from two other automotive repair shops (that were cheaper) after my daughter told me how much she had to pay for the repairs made to her vehicle. Christian Brothers definitely took advantage of her. This place is not "Christian like". Me and my family are definitely never coming back to place like this where they take advantage of people that don't know any better. I would have given this place a negative star review if I was given the choice.

I have been to Christian Brothers 3 times for oil changes. Each time, they were informative and fairly quick. The lobby was clean and I was offered refreshments. They informed me what issues they found with my car but never pressured me about them. This last time I went, they went over and above for me and also helped me in a time of need. I felt that the name Christian Brothers was VERY appropriate. I won't go into detail but I left crying happy tears.

We were in Rockport for our annual family reunion when my daughterβs brake warning light came on. A local repair shop in Rockport was unable to complete the repair, so we decided to give Christian Brothers Automotive in Corpus Christi a try for the first time. From the moment we arrived, the staff was professional, courteous, and genuinely focused on helping us. We explained that my daughter needed to drive back to Houston the next day and that we were on a tight timeline. They immediately understood the urgency and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Not only did they diagnose and repair the rear brakes within just a few hours, but they also provided transportation for me back to Rockport while the vehicle was being serviced and later picked me up when the repairs were complete. The entire process was seamless and stress-free. To top it off, the repair came with a 3-year warranty, which gave us even more peace of mind. Excellent customer service, honest communication, and a team that truly cares about their customers. Christian Brothers Automotive has earned our trust and definitely gained a customer, even though weβre from out of town. I highly recommend them!

Iβm sharing this so others are aware before bringing their vehicle here. I brought my car in for an oil change and accepted the complimentary inspection. The oil change itself took about an hour, which was fine, and I expected everything to be in good condition afterward. However, when the technician drove my car out, it was clearly struggling, something that was not happening before my visit. I was then told there was an issue with my air intake. While one hose had previously been taped by the former owner, the vehicle was running without any problems prior to this appointment. During the inspection, the technician did not mention that he had forced or disturbed the lower portion of the air intake. This part is bolted in place and should not have been moved just to check the air filter, which is accessible by simply removing four clips. After getting home and inspecting the issue myself, I found that the lower section of the air intake had been pulled loose. Once I properly reassembled and replaced the necessary parts, the car returned to normal operation. This strongly suggests the damage occurred during the inspection. What was most concerning was the lack of communication a

Iβm extremely disappointed with Christian Brothers Automotive - Corpus Christi. This used to be our go-to shop, but their practices have become dishonest and focused more on commission than on doing whatβs right for the customer. Their parts are marked up at least 30% higher than dealer prices, and they turn around and buy cheaper parts from the internet to cushion their own pockets. Thatβs misleading and unethical. Melissa, the service advisor, told me the parts for my vehicle were not in stock anywhere in town. I called Lithia Dodge myself, and surprise β they had the parts in stock. One of the parts was quoted to me at $900, while Dodge had the exact same part listed for $254. After I confronted her about the price difference, she admitted that it is normal practice for their shop to mark up parts. I still ended up paying $450 for that same part through them β far more than what the dealer was charging. This location has gone from trustworthy to dishonest and money-hungry. Customers deserve transparency and fair pricing, not inflated quotes and false information. I will not be returning and strongly recommend others get a second opinion before agreeing to repairs here.
